Bruce Peninsula Hospice is looking for committed individuals to be part of its Board of
Directors. Our directors serve for a three year term and contribute on average 3-4 volunteer hours per week.
We are a local, incorporated, charitable community-based organization of trained volunteers serving the people of the Bruce Peninsula since 1995.
We provide non -medical visiting hospice and bereavement services, working cooperatively with family members, physicians, palliative care teams, clergy and all community health care providers.
Our service area includes but is not limited to: Wiarton, Sauble Beach, Hepworth, Lion’s Head,
Tobermory, Kemble and surrounding areas.
The Board relies on individuals interested in community based hospice service who
can work in the spirit of cooperation and collaboration, believe in client driven service
and have a commitment to life long learning.
We strive to have board members reflect the geographic and cultural diversity of the area we serve.
Leadership and non profit board experience would be an asset.
The strength of our board comes from individuals coming from a range of backgrounds
with a diversity of skills and a strong range of community connections.
Specific skills needed at this time include a background or interest in either finance, or public relations.
The term beginning 2015-16 would commence In November 2015 following our Annual General Meeting.
