Over 100 hikers at three locations enjoyed the sunshine last week in their shared effort to raise awareness and funds for hospice palliative care in our community.
This fifth successful Hike for Hospice raised $25,000 for Bruce Peninsula Hospice’s local visiting, education and bereavement services. Enthusiasm was high as folks of all ages gathered for a meaningful and fun afternoon of exercise, speeches, prizes and community building.
A heartfelt thanks especially to our speakers at all three locations
No finer praise can be given than that offered by Todd Hay in his touching speech that celebrated his mother, Karole Hay. When we hold up the goodness of others and value the work of dedicated volunteers, our community remains strong.
Todd gave his speech at the Wiarton site and it is well worth a read.

And at the Oliphant site:
The hike kicked off National Hospice Palliative Care Week and this year’s theme of
Living Well. Right to the End.
